Make sure to wash your hands!

- Prevent the spread of infectious diseases and food poisoning through proper hygiene -

1. Wet your hands thoroughly under running water, apply soap, and rub the palms of your hands together well.

2. Rub the back of each hand with the opposite palm.

3. Make sure to pay particular care to rubbing the soap in between your fingertips and nails.

4. Wash between your fingers.

5. Rub each thumb clasped in the opposite palm.

6. Do not forget to scrub your wrists.

7. Once you have washed off the soap completely, rinse your hands thoroughly in running water and dry your hands with a clean towel or paper towel.

When you should wash your hands

When you return home, before and after food preparation, before meals, after using the toilet, after changing a diaper, after cleaning up vomit, etc.

Steps you can take to avoid being infected or infecting others

Influenza

Hand washing, disinfection, wearing a mask, flu jab
Wear a mask if you have symptoms such as a fever, cough, sneezing, etc.
Consult with a doctor as soon as possible

Norovirus

Hand washing, disinfection, ensuring food is cooked properly
Clean up fecal matter and vomit using disposable gloves and a mask, etc.
Do not handle food products if you have symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, etc.
Be the last person to use the bath water, or just take a shower.

Novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

Hand washing, disinfection, wearing a mask, avoiding the “Three Cs”(closed spaces with poor ventilation, crowded and close-contact settings)
Sit as far apart as possible when eating with other people.
Except when having a meal, prevent infections when chatting with others by wearing a mask.
Avoid serving food on large plates for people to help themselves or drinking from the same cup as others.
