How to obtain certificates of family register (certificate of family register, certificate of partial family register, copy of address history in family register, ID card, etc.)

You can obtain these at your ward office or administrative service corner.
It is also possible to apply by post or online (only for those who have an Individual Number card).
Non-Japanese residents who are married to a Japanese national who wish to obtain certificates of family register etc. for their Japanese spouse should apply to the municipality of his or her spouse's permanent domicile.

A document confirming your identity (resident card, Special Permanent Resident Card, etc.)
*In the event a proxy is submitting a request on your behalf, you need to provide a letter of proxy and a document confirming the proxy's identity.
